From Delhi, take an overnight bus or train to reach Shimla. From Shimla, take a bus or shared jeep to Kaza, which is the headquarters of Spiti valley. Kaza is around 5-6 hours away from Shimla by road. From Kaza, there are multiple shared jeeps that go to Hikkim village on a daily basis. The journey from Kaza to Hikkim village takes around 2-3 hours by road. 


The roads leading to Hikkim village are quite treacherous and it is advisable to undertake the journey only if you have prior experience of driving on such roads. There are no hotels or restaurants in Hikkim village and it is advisable to carry your own food and water for the journey.
