Gurudwara Pathar Sahib Ladakh - How To Reach

Gurudwara Pathar Sahib - the most revered place where Guru Nanak Dev is believed to have conquered a demon, is located in India. Legend has it that once Guru Nanak was meditating there, the demon threw a big boulder towards him in order to block his prayers but the bouldle turned into soft wax that failed to harm him. Enraged, the demon asked for penance but Guru Nanak forgave him. The boulder embedded with imprints of Guru Nanak's body and footprints of the demon is on display at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Despite being known mainly for Buddhism, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib attracts people from all faiths looking for solace and peace during difficult times. It is maintained by the Indian Army.
