Chardham Yatra Registration - The Uttarakhand government started mandatory Photometric/ Biometric Registration of Char Dham pilgrims in 2014 after the Kedarnath Flood. In 2022-2023, a now-mandatory Chardham Yatra registration is required for every traveler to a Char Dham Yatra. You can apply for a Yatra registration letter by filling out an online form or visiting a nearby registration counter.
Chardham Yatra Registration is mandatory for all devotees who are interested in paying for entry into one of India's most popular religious tours. Chardham Yatra Registration is also known as Yatra pass, Yathra permits, and Registration Card. The state government has made arrangements for mandatory photo-based registration of visitors to the holy Dhams. Each visitor can be tracked by GPS so law enforcement can keep track of their location. Pilgrims are also able to enjoy special government services like food and lodging by simply using this Chardham Yatra Registration Card.
Step 1: The very first step for Chardham pilgrims is to visit the Chardham Yatra Registration website. You will reach a webpage like below.
Step 2: Now click on Register/Login to get below Chardham Yatra 2022 Online Registration/ Login form.
Step 3: Now an online form asking for Personal Details for Chardham Yatra Registration. Each of the fields is mandatory.
Step 4: Now Chardham Online Registration System will verify the registration through OTP verification which would receive on mobile and email. Complete the OTP verification and click on Verify OTP button.
Step 5: Now you have to log in using your Mobile number & password. A personalized dashboard will be open one can Register Pilgrim's information.
Step 6: Click on Add/ Manage Pilgrims or Tourists to open the below window.
Step 7: Now add tour plan details such as Tour type, Tour name, Dates of Yatra, and Number of tourists. Add each destination with the date of visit and save the form.
Step 8: Finally a window showing details of the Tour Name, Dates, and Destination.
Step 9: Now add Pilgrims info using Add Pilgrim button.
Kindly note that for a single Chardham season, registration can be done using any valid Id. Kindly keep ready, a scanned copy of photo id proof (AADHAR) / address proof in *.jpg, *.png format. The size of the scan copy must be between 10kb to 150kb.
Step 10: After registration completion, a Unique registration number will be sent on SMS, and the Registration Letter can now be downloaded for Chardham Yatra travel.
How to Register for Chardham Yatra?
To register for Chardham Yatra, pilgrims need to first obtain an online registration form from the government website. Once registered, pilgrims will need to gather necessary documents such as a passport-size photograph, caste certificate/adhaar card, and travel insurance cover. They must also bring a copy of their registration form and all the required documents with them during the trip.
